i dont buy (whatever it is here) thinking "man, this will be worth so much more later!" if it happens... fantastic! if if doesnt... i still own it. i am not alone in this and think that other long time hobbyists feel the same way
Collecting has ups & downs, Ws & Ls. In the end it all pretty much evens out, we just dont realize it. Collect however and whatever you want. If at some point its "worth more" fantastic. Sell it and enjoy whatever it is you choose to do with the money.
with the holidays approaching please keep in mind that your grandpa and/or uncle did not find a lone 1952 Topps Mantle or T206 Honus Wagner in the attic.

Seeing the "money growing pains" that many in the Pokemon space are going through remnds me of what a lot of sports card folks went though back in 2021. Will things there "correct"? For sure. Will they go back to the old days? Doubtful.
I was able to get a look/feel of a PSA Comic Slab. Impressive in person. Chonky! Nearly twice the weight of CGC. Construction seems solid. Will not hesitate to add some to my collection
