The end came suddenly, and users are more than a little pissed.
bloggers had Polyvore sets that defined their blogs and now they are all gone and if they were pinned on Pinterest, all of those pins automatically go to ssense like some kind of terrible virus

This is a fast moving petition @SSENSE with nearly 11,000 signatures READ how @polyvore was a real live community with vastly different reasons for its existence. @SSENSE took away incomes, blogs, writers, artists, entrepreneurs work spaces, friendships, therapy, social media ETC
What is most frustrating about the @polyvore @SSENSE hostile takeover is the complete lack of respect for the user community who made this site the success it is. Corporate greed at its worst. #polyvore
After the recent @polyvore @ssense debacle. I'd like to propose a new internet law called the Online Communities Protection Act. @BBPolyvore we all can write bill for the United States Congress. Unless such a law already exists but we need one. Plus an OPT IN provision not OUT.
