So, I'm finally done with standardized tests, now? #donewithboards

We had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of our Ukrainian hematology & transfusion counterparts today. It was a great chance to learn about each other's practices and to review transfusion management systems as they are developing a national electronic transfusion registry.

Check out this doozy of a case! It came to us with very little history. We only knew that the patient is 5 years old and had a posterior fossa lesion and a colonic polyp. Top two photos are the brain lesion; bottom two are from colon. Thoughts?

Hi everyone, Been a while since I have been on, but wanted to let everyone know that the University of Chicago is adding an additional PA position. This will bring our total number of grossing PAs from 4 to 5. Click below to apply. New grads welcome. careers-ucm.icims.com/jobs/31127/pat…

If you agree @Pathoutlines is a central job posting site, its data suggests that #pathology job market is in uncharted territory. Large number of jobs is a sign of growth & great for job seekers, but it's also a sign of turn-over & potential instability. #PathTwitter #labmed

QuIBBLE #2: Antibody screen performed shows an anti-c pattern. DAT IgG is positive. Eluate displays a similar pattern. Patient's phenotype is positive for c. What type of RBCs will you provide?

Don't want to start arguments, but I would like to start QuIBBLEs - Questions in Blood Banking, a Learning Exchange. I present a short scenario and/or question that I encounter or get asked while I'm on Transfusion or Coagulation service.
