Honored to lead the design team saving the 1909 BMB since 2007. New York City’s last remaining historic ferry terminal, occupying Manhattan’s first developed civic site at the foot of Broadway, is once again the crown jewel of its waterfront. edc.nyc/press-release/…

Not sure what type of fence is planned but most don’t maintain the kind of visual transparency required in a Democracy. There are better ways to provide robust security without a fortified look.

i cant really wrap my head around the fact people who violently breached the building, and trashed it were allowed to just...leave the capitol.

Hey @skicamelback how about putting a few benches at the top for snowboarders to buckle in? The small guest services go a long way.

Hey @NJTRANSIT and @NJgov why does @Amtrak and @LIRR get a new Penn Station while we continue being “entombed in the worst train station in North America”? nytimes.com/2020/12/30/nyr…

Can anyone tell me how it’s appropriate for a Democratic government of a diverse, free, and creative people to mandate the arts? @NYTimes nytimes.com/2020/12/21/art…

If you have to exclude artists, architects, engineers, professors, & members of the building industry in your definition of the “general public” free to speak out on your executive order dictating a gov mandated architectural style, it’s prob a bad idea. architecturalrecord.com/articles/14932…

What if we changed the rules so that, to get a “5-Star Safety Rating,” a vehicle also had to be safer for everyone AROUND it, like people walking, people on bikes, KIDS(!), & people in other vehicles in a collision? Vehicles have been getting more deadly in the name of safety.

Trucks have been getting bigger, more energy & space consuming, more polluting, and much deadlier to everyone around them, including kids. Not because most of us actually need bigger vehicles, but as ego boosts, status symbols & “indicators of male virility.” HT @PickledEntropy

This is happening in my city here in Australia right now in December 2020. Post-covid festivals are here. We haven’t had a case of covid in the community for over 8 months. Life is back to normal thanks to everyone doing the right thing! 👍

A remarkable civic project. A template for how to activate the waterfront with diverse and engaging public spaces.
