When Trump said “no new wars,” I took him to mean no new wars in America too. Now he’s declared war on Chicago and is calling for the imprisonment of the Governor of Illinois.
The behavior we’re seeing from the Trump Administration - from declaring war on our cities to throwing due process out the window - is not normal. Regardless of party, we all have a duty to stand up for law and order. Grateful to have Governor Pritzker as a partner in the fight.

Republicans control every branch of the federal government and they can’t even pass their own BS to keep the lights on.
Here in Minnesota, we’re writing a story about how to govern like good neighbors. And as long as I’m Governor, we’re going to keep the cruelty and corruption of Washington at arm’s length from our state.
I’m asking Republicans to hold a public vote on banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, because that’s what the majority of Minnesotans want to see.
Not only do they need to be fired, they need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It’s a miracle the President ever made it up the stairs.

I saw Willie Nelson in Texas for the second ever Farm Aid during the 80’s farm crisis. He’s always been there to lend a hand to our farmers, and I was grateful to see how many Minnesotans showed up in support last night.
