Right-handed reliever Seranthony Domínguez and the Chicago White Sox are in agreement on a two-year, $20 million contract, sources tell ESPN. Dominguez, 31, is expected to close for the White Sox, who use the money saved in the Luis Robert Jr. deal to continue adding this winter.

Full trade, per ESPN sources: Rangers get: LHP MacKenzie Gore Nationals get: 3B Gavin Fien, SS Devin Fitz-Gerald, RHP Alejandro Rosario, 1B Abimelec Ortiz and and OF Yeremy Cabrera A big return for the Nationals. Fien was the 12th pick last year. Evaluators love Fitz-Gerald.

There was no "multi year window" to get a haul. 2023 offseason? Absolutely, and that hurts. But his value had cratered by the 2024 deadline because he was straight awful. Plus I don't think it was crazy to hang onto him post-2023 w 4 years of control left, hindsight is 20/20
Still thinking about how the White Sox had a multi-year window - during which they were universally terrible - to trade Luis Robert Jr. for a meaningful, impactful haul and mismanaged the situation so badly what they ended up with was salary relief and a famous dude’s brother
