As I was watching the end of regulation with Australia down 6 without possession and 46 seconds left, I was running through all the scenarios. This one was not on my list….incredible. Aussies go on to win in a WILD double OT finish.

This might be me just being an stats nerd, but I'd be super interested in seeing umpire stats. E.g. How many obstructions/contacts they call- to see if they consistently calling less/more than other umps? Even the actual/average time of their held ball calls #netballchaos

I have a theory based on no evidence at all... Most GAs are more likely to make a SS if they have a tall GS. As a psychological thing, they feel less pressure about missing the shot because it likely won't be a turnover. There's more pressure to make it without a tall GS
