Speaking of meat, Tyson Foods responded to $1.5B in higher costs with nearly $2B in price increases. This means the company extracted $500M from consumers to keep profit margins huge. When I say corporations are using inflation as cover for their greed, this is what I mean.
The Fed is making a mistake. This interest rate hike won't remedy many of the major causes of inflation. If the Fed continues down this path – as it has signaled it will – the economy will likely be plunged into a recession.
