Hello, I'm Steph. I've just started my full-stack dev journey. I'll be sharing my progress, struggles and everything in between. Let's grow together✨
On a more serious note, i really need to manage school work and building properly because i'm sucking at that rn💔
Picking up tailwind CSS soon, media queries are really kicking my ass
Applications for the Women Techsters Bootcamp Cohort 4.1 are now open!! From September 15th to 28th, women across 30 African countries have the opportunity to apply for a tuition-free, 3-week intensive program designed to equip you with in-demand tech skills and prepare you for…
These last few days have left me mentally drained and unmotivated. Ontop of that, my IT supervisor came around and I had to prep for supervision. That’s done now, time to get back to my IDE.
These last 2 days have been alot ngl. I’ve run into bugs and fixed some, learned while working with routing & APIs. One major problem I had was integrating protected routing & storing tokens in local storage. As I’m typing this, I still have pending bugs to figure out. Omo mehn🤧
I came across this video on Tiktok. How do you think the developer could have avoided this kind of breach?
My code is working and running smoothly right now but it wasn't so some hours ago. My component was not rendering and i couldn't figure out what the issue was. I nearly crase🤧
My best friend just asked me to build a birthday website for her where people can visit, drop birthday messages, and she can view them all in one place. This should be fun🤭
I never understood when some fullstack devs said they prefer to work on frontend and backend simultaneously but now I do. This is my first time tying endpoints to frontend and after writing them, i realized i had to go back and tweak the UI a bit. Which do y'all prefer tho?
I've had to stop, think, breath and continue but now the route is correctly handling input. I had to add more songs to my 'Cry' playlist cause the ones i had weren't doing it justice.
Hey @grok , based on my tweets history state: What is my physical age? What is my mental age? What is my IQ? What is my EQ? What is my ideal profession? What is my current profession? What is my worst nightmare if any?
Nepa has decided to grace us with light, i can finally begin writing endpoints
Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Steph, a CS undergrad on a journey to becoming a full-stack developer.
I have a playlist called 'Cry' packed with Sam Smith's songs. It helps me code with a clear mind and cry when the frustration hits lmao
building in bed while listening to sad songs so peaceful :)
I've always known reusing class names across components is a bad idea and could cause style conflict but "oh well, it works anyway" i'd say to myself. Now the conflict is conflicting and i've learnt the hard way😭
My biggest motivation remains : " Every great developer I see on the TL once started with hello world , where I see them now is where I'll be some day, if I don't give up "
I’m tired of the misogyny, the idea that women in tech get jobs because of their appearance or bodies. I don’t see what’s funny about this. You’d never say or even insinuate it about a man. Have some respect.
Tech sis, I just finished learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript; I am ready to start accepting jobs.
