At a special event this May we marked the 80th anniversary of VE Day🌺 Second World War Veterans attended, members of the Yeoman Body and Tower community read recollections from the Second World War, and Poet Laureate Simon Armitage read his poem ‘In Retrospect’. #InsideTheTower
The ‘story’ is the world-famous tour that the Yeoman Warders deliver to millions of Tower of London visitors each year. 🏰 Every new Yeoman Warder must learn the nearly 10,000 word story, word for word, before they are initiated into the Yeoman Body. #InsideTheTower
