The infrastructure exists. The institutions are building on it. The regulatory frameworks are evolving. The distance between what crypto promised and what capital markets actually need is converging. And of this is happening on Hedera.
Structured products are also emerging that combine multiple tokenized funds into single instruments. They look like ETFs but exist entirely on blockchain rails. On Hedera, this looks like innovations such as "Pool Tokens" from @ArchaxEx. archax.com/insights/archa…
Then there's institutions like @LloydsBank that have used tokenized MMFs on Hedera as collateral for foreign exchange (FX) trades between @Aberdeen_plc and Lloyds.
Equities are just the first step. Funds from BlackRock, @Fidelity, @Aberdeen_plc, and @StateStreet are tokenized on Hedera through issuers like @ArchaxEx. It's the next wave institutional capital infrastructure happening in real time.
This also applies to tokenized equities that can function as collateral in lending markets. They can move through DEXs and compose with other DeFi primitives. Traditional assets just inherited the properties of crypto infrastructure without losing their regulatory compliance.
Take @SwarmMarkets tokenization of $AAPL and $TSLA on Hedera. These stocks will trade 24/7, but that's not actually the core innovation. The big idea is stocks as programmable assets that can interact with DeFi protocols, broadening access and utility of equities worldwide.
Front-running is a huge issue that kills institutional adoption before it starts. Hedera's consensus mechanism prevents this through the fair ordering of transactions. This matters more to a compliance officer than any feature developers typically prioritize.
