Way less Jason than I remembered in Part 2. In the wake of re-evaluating the original, this now came across as the weaker of the two. An attempt to repeat the slasher mystery of the first film, only with meaner kills and a sack-head stalker emerging in the final act

#NowWatching Stanley Tong’s POLICE STORY 3: SUPERCOP. Despite absolutely loving the first two I’ve never actually seen this one before. After Michelle Yeoh’s monumental win last night I thought I better change that asap! I always love me some Jackie Chan! #HongKong #MichelleYeoh

#NowWatching Sonny and Jed (1972) - delightful Corbucci spag western take on Bonnie and Clyde with a banging Morricone theme. Susan George and Telly Savalas are very good, but Tomas Milian really is one of the greatest movie dirtbags of all time - he’s so good at these roles.

Watched Onibaba (1964) what a film! it's somewhat hard to describe exactly what genre this is mixing horror, noir thriller with religious and anti war subtext all shot beautifully in black and white with an almost expressionist arthouse styling. It's one of a kind recommended!👍

Watched Scream VI (2023) I mean if you're looking for some originality in your horror look elsewhere it's basically step for step the same thing the series has provided 5 times before but in saying that it's a fun fast little slasher and setting it in NY gives it a fresh look👍

Watched Thirst (2009) finally got to see this & it was different than what I was expecting although it does have moments of wince inducing gore & dread it's actually a pretty funny film (in it's own dark way) & the way the relationship plays out gives it a Hitchcockian feel👍

The very atmospheric CURSES OF THE WITCH (1927) is the first Finnish horror movie and it promptly establishes Finland’s brand of frigid folk horror. It deals with a taboo subject matter with tact and has a small dose of witchery for good measure. A minor silent gem.

FURIE Dir: Lê Văn Kiệt 2019 #NowWatching Veronica Ngo flips into beast mode and unleashes a barrage of martial arts on traffickers that kidnapped her daughter. God damn I really liked this one. It's a pretty basic plot but serves as a platter for all sorts of ass stomping!

Watched Arachnid (2001) 3 big names in Horror dir: Jack (The Hidden) Sholder, producer Brian Yuzna & FX legend Steve Johnson came together to make this at times entertaining trash fest. It's a fun little monster flick with some not bad practical FX mixed with some truly bad CGI👍

Received these pictures today from the filmmaker. Fortunately, we will be able to save this over at Terror Vision. This film is essentially lost to time and has only had a release in Australia but we are going to fix that soon. Another film saved from extinction.
