The decay following pruning by man to let light under the tree and allow some insignificant grass cutting has led to the specimen being felled due to no holding timber at approx 4 mtrs. Once again the only problem with this world is the human people living in it.
Polyporous squamosus fruiting bracket fungus appeared at around 4 mtrs in man made pruning cavity. Cavity has arisen from interference for getting under the majestic specimen.

This month presents an excellent opportunity to see some wonderful fungus. I have never seen such a beautiful selection as early as this year. Please send any photos over if any are seen ? If anyone has concerns re internal timber strength of main stems please contact us.
Imperious work by Tinsley in Cambridge. You have to see before to fully appreciate. Not many poplar trees populate TPO registers.
The final round of this years refurbishments for us climaxed at Scopwick in Lincolnshire. Another great honour to get this done for the CWGC. Great job.
