Community-level change, starts in the #community. We have staff in every country of operation, working closely with farmers to make sure they have the tools, resources, and knowledge they need to transform their land and livelihoods. Thank you, #team, for your tireless work!
As #ClimateWeek closes, we’re inspired by the commitments to a sustainable future. Farmers are at the heart of climate action—restoring land, creating green jobs, and building resilient communities. 🌱 Together, we can drive change—1 farmer, 1 tree, 1 solution at a time. 💪🌳
Hats off to the graduates! 1,300 Kenyan farmers graduated last week! After 4 years of training in the Forest Garden Approach, each of these farmers is now an expert in these techniques & able to protect their land for generations to come. bit.ly/3XEKHQ8 #ClimateWeekNYC
t’s time for nature-based solutions that work by, for, and in communities—and it’s time for farmers to take center stage in the fight for a healthier, more sustainable world. bit.ly/3XBFWXH #ClimateWeekNYC

How 200,000+ farmers are restoring land – one hectare at a time
It’s time for nature-based solutions led by those connected to the land. Farmers are leading the way through agroforestry, green jobs & sustainable land use. We partner with farmers to develop solutions that address climate change & improve livelihoods. #UNGA78 #ClimateWeekNYC
As Climate Week 2024 kicks off, it’s time to recognize the central role that farmers play in achieving global sustainability goals. With over 33 million smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa, we must include them in our plan for our planet.
✨ There is nothing quite like a beautiful morning in a Forest Garden ✨
We're seeing a lot of new faces lately and would like to formally introduce ourselves! We're Trees for the Future, or TREES, and we are training smallholder farmers across Africa in a sustainable #agroforestry method called the Forest Garden Approach. #climateweek
Every corner of a #ForestGarden is bursting with life... with each sprouting veggie and inch of rich #soil, #farmers are growing a new life for themselves and their families.
1,300 Kenyan farmers graduated from our program over the weekend. The day was full of celebration as we marked farmers' accomplishments over the last 4 years. With our partners at @CatonaClimate we were honored to host special guests & local leaders.
We're making some incredible impact together 🌳
In Kenya, the Trees for the Future and Catona Climate teams are together conducting #drone surveys of Forest Garden projects. Using drone technology, we can better understand how farmers are transforming their land, restoring ecosystems, and building sustainable livelihoods.
For every farmer trained, every tree planted, every life changed, thank you 🌱
Our work is pretty straightforward - we teach farmers sustainable farming techniques so that they can #restore their land and improve their lives.
🌳 Step into the peace of a Forest Garden🎶 Birdsong fills the air in this thriving landscape, brought to life by the Forest Garden Approach. Through planting diverse crops and 1000s of trees, farmers are not just restoring land-they’re building resilient ecosystems & communities
🌱 Regenerative agriculture is a game-changer. By restoring soil health, boosting biodiversity, and revitalizing communities, it’s transforming systems from the ground up. This isn’t just about sustaining—it’s about healing our planet for a brighter future. 🌍 #FutureOfFarming
We teach farmers to harvest and store their own seeds 🍊 This helps them create their own supply of seeds to reduce operating costs and ensure high quality seeds for the next planting season. #seedsaving
Today marks 3️⃣ 5️⃣ years of planting trees and changing lives 🎉 Whether you've been with Trees for the Future since the beginning or have just recently discovered us, we're glad to be doing this work with you. Thank you!
Happy Nane Nane Day! #NaneNaneDay - which means "eight eight" in Swahili - is Tanzania's National Farmer Day. Join us in celebrating our Tanzanian staff and all the Forest Garden farmers they serve!
