@TrueLeft

The Westside Current manages to write a story about Kevin de Leon without mentioning the racist tapes. That tracks, given the Current's ass-licking support of a Traci Park, who literally defended use of the "n word" in the workplace. Did you see this shit, @marvistavoice?

voters in Council District 14 face a crucial election, the experience of their neighbors in Council District 11 under former Councilmember Mike Bonin stands as a compelling cautionary tale. During Bonin’s tenure, District 11 grappled with rising crime, unchecked homelessness, and…

The @lacivilrights department is celebrating Traci Park, the councilwoman who defends the use of the N-word in the workplace? That's sick. @PplsCityCouncil @BLMLA @LACANetwork @DocMellyMel @marvistavoice @KnockDotLA @thelasentinel @TheRoot @LANCWatch

Big shoutout to Councilwoman Traci Park for this awesome selfie at LAX with Council President @PaulKrekorian (CD2) & @cd5losangeles (CD5). We're proud of our award-winning #LAforAll campaign. Snap a selfie & tag us if you spot our signs in any of the 21 languages across LA! 📸🌟

LA's own Breitbart is so pathetic. They claim Traci Park reduced homelessness by 38%. That stat is from the Jan 2022 homeless count -- 11 months before she took office. I guess they'll do anything to distract from the news that Park lied about housing people she displaced.

Raman boasts 7% progress amidst LA's worsening homelessness crisis and skyrocketing city spending. It's like putting a band-aid on a gaping wound. Residents demand real solutions, not token gestures. #LaHomelessness Read More: westsidecurrent.com/news/column-ra…

I can still hear Nury’s poisonous slurs and cruel laugh, and Kevin’s conspiratorial whisper and malicious tone. A year later, I'm still angry and disgusted. I share on Substack what I heard and felt, and what was missing from discussion of the scandal: mikebonin.substack.com/p/the-racist-t…

It is certainly an extremely ugly and cynical choice - though consistent with the paper's previous coverage of the LA Fed tapes, downplaying the racism at every turn - for the LA Times to basically be taking campaign photos for Councilmember Kevin de León:

It remains infuriating that the LAT continues to misrepresent KDL's role in the tapes. He wasn't a bystander who failed to rein Nury in. He & his resentments were the prime drivers of the convo abt Bonin & the claim that Black ppl were out to get Latinos. latimes.com/california/sto…

Looks like @BLMLA gave Kevin de Leon a wake up call this morning 👀 A year removed from the racist audio leak + KDL still needs a reminder that Los Angeles hasn’t forgotten about his anti-Blackness + anti-Indigeneity. His time on the council needs to come to an end and it will!

I voted no on the budget today. Budgets are a statement of values—and a budget that allocates one quarter of our entire budget to LAPD while underfunding every other department and service does not reflect my values or the values of my constituents.

We were asked how many City departments & bureaus the LAPD's $3.24B proposed budget could fund: LAPD's proposed $3.24B budget makes up more than 34 City departments & bureaus combined. Some include: Youth Development $3M, Community Investment for Families $35M, & Housing $334M.

This is the hotel that Traci Park fought to stop from being converted into homeless housing, isn't it? @mikebonin @marvistavoice @KtownforAll @KnockDotLA @venice4change @WestsideDarling @WestLA4BlkLives @ogBravo1

Inside Safe is not just about moving people out of tents and into motels – it's about bringing Angelenos inside for good.

It is really disgusting to see the westside's faux progressives joining with the MAGA crowd in denouncing Black Lives Matter.

On Tuesday, the @lapdcommission will vote on the re-appointment of current Police Chief Michel Moore. Over his term Moore has been responsible for the continued ballooning of the LAPD budget, as well as unspeakable violence and harm. #NoMoreMoore tinyurl.com/wesaynomoore

It’s amazing to me that the people who booed and jeered Bonin when he moved 200 people inside from the boardwalk are cheering when the mayor and Officer Traci move half as many inside. Is it because this new effort is moving them into hotels away from the Westside?

Los Angeles is appalled by LAPD killing another black man. So what does Traci Park do? Post photos of herself and other non-Blacks with COPS celebrating MLK day. She is vile.

Traci Park has the smallest victory margin of any elected official in the city. Everyone else won by double digits. Park squeaked by with a 4 pt victory, after being propped up by millions in police, DWP and corporate real estate funds. She has no mandate, and they own her.
