Excited to say that over the course of #SpotlightTheAvatar, I got to give two separate brief little waves to @CoreyBaumeister, who was of course supremely busy. I hope to get to actually watch some of the casting this week, it'll be great!
Today was awesome! I 0-2 dropped the RCQ, which is the third best record, did super great at a draft, splitting the prizes, and got to learn more about Sorcery, a game that's caught my eye; plus, the guy gave me a box of precons for free! Super duper sweet.
I knew it would be tough, especially for being both my first event like this and the first real paper tournament I've ever done, but I still underestimated it! I think I did okay, definitely could have played better, went 3-3 and a draw, had to drop. But it was a phenomenal time!

A curious and paradoxical-seeming fact is that "politics" in fiction, and media generally, actually doesn't exist until you're around the age of 15 or so, at which point it is practically drowning in the stuff. True "media literacy" is only reached once one can explain why.
