“When a good person dies there should be an impact on the world. Somebody should notice. Somebody should be upset.” -Dr. Cameron, House (2.1)
You do realize that she dedicated it to him right?
I appreciate that she said “I dedicate this prize…to President Trump for his decisive support of our cause!” Let’s try not to diminish her accomplishments by only referencing it in relationship to him losing.
This recognition of the struggle of all Venezuelans is a boost to conclude our task: to conquer Freedom. We are on the threshold of victory and today, more than ever, we count on President Trump, the people of the United States, the peoples of Latin America, and the democratic…
“I can't STAND the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new-age term, & it does a lot of damage. I much prefer the word compassion, & I much prefer the word sympathy. Empathy is where you try to feel someone's pain and sorrows as if they're your own. compassion…
Exactly. #CharlieKirk was good precisely because he was unwavering about having open dialogue with people. It did not matter whether you agreed or disagreed (& I often disagreed). To me, this is a tragedy of cowardice vs courage. Be courageous.

“We are all safe, or none of us are.” @ezraklein
Ezra Klein on Charlie Kirk: “You can dislike much of what Kirk believed and the following statement is still true: Kirk was practicing politics in exactly the right way. He was showing up to campuses and talking with anyone who would talk to him. He was one of the era’s most…

Caregiving is one of the most rewarding, challenging, and intense things I’ve ever done, but I knew it wasn’t everything I wanted from my love of memory care. I wanted to do more. As a caregiver, I spent a lot of time training new people, coaching coworkers, and even arguing…
“The only way to be great is first to be good. The only way to be good is first to be bad. And the only way to be bad is first to try.” -Jim Edwards, Copywriting Secrets
I had a business a long time ago. 11 months face first into Bankruptcy & 1.5 years living in my car (voluntarily). I didn't think I would ever try again. It was too humiliating. Now... well, surprisingly, I learned things I didn't appreciate until now. Better late than never...
My working through the model Mortimer Adler gave for analysis has me realizing there are a great many things I am only now learning I don't need to learn, I simply need to be reminded.
After almost 8 years working in memory care and assisted living facilities, I’m finally moving on to helping the facilities grow and improve. I’m excited for this chapter.
I spent so much time not creating a problems and solutions list that once I started doing it, I felt silly. It was so obviously the right thing to do that even doing it poorly moved me closer to where I wanted to be than thinking and mulling over it.
I spent a lot of time reading & doing “research” on how to learn skills for a business or starting a business. What I learned both through hearing it and also through firsthand experience is that you learn more by doing. Exponentially more. Just do the thing.
