O, the irony of #pizzagate

Trump’s secretary of commerce, Howard Lutnick, said recently in an interview that a 2005 visit to Jeffrey Epstein’s home left him so revolted that he cut ties with Epstein. Emails released today tell a different story, showing Lutnick remained in contact for years afterward,…

I wrote something for Politico about the real issue with Greg Bovino's overcoat. IMO, it isn't about whether the overcoat is tied to any particular regime, but about how immigration enforcement has become increasingly warlike in terms of strategy, discourse, and dress. 🧵

Thought-provoking, and in fairly urgent need of study: anyone interested in the truth rather than ideology should want to know if it is essentially a cry for help in unconventional quarters.

Hard to believe RFK and Makary can last that much longer in their roles… I would have thought Trump would be less closely wedded to these guys on the issue of healthcare than to other partners (I’ve always felt he is using them to get revenge for COVID vaccine timing)

I read the Prasad letter, and in my view this is Gottlieb is mischaracterising what Prasad wrote.

@damiangarde It's interesting that this FDA seems concerned about the opinions of clients of investment banks. I wonder if Piper Sandler has invited Scott Gottlieb to give his perspective. This is what Gottlieb said on CNBC today about the potential impact of Prasad & Makary's…

That’s my read as well. The shift from two to one has been long in the making, but it’s a big shift that is going to give a lot of ammo to industry to fight against FDA requesting additional data.

While I like many aspects of the vision that Makary and Prasad offered, they (Makary most of all) clearly lack leadership ability. Where was the stakeholder engagement and consensus building? Obviously they tried to move way too fast.
