It was an honor for UIG to participate in the IBEW Membership Development Conference last week in San Antonio.
Day 13 of #UIG25daysofservice was spent in the office making blankets for the The Anti-Cruelty Society! It was a lot of fun spending time with each other while crafting blankets to help the shelter animals feel more comfortable while they wait for their forever homes. #Volunteer
Day 12 of #UIG25daysofservice was spent at the Ronald McDonald House near Lurie's Children's Hospital. We cooked a vegetarian french dip sandwich and a strawberry and goat cheese salad serving around 70 guests. RMHC is truly an amazing organization! #volunteer
We accomplished day 11 of #UIG25daysofservice at @lambsfarm! We weeded, planted flowers and painted fences at their beautiful facility. After we finished, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at their restaurant, Magnolia Cafe. Thank you to the Lambs Farm staff for always being awesome!
On Juneteenth, we salute and honor the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans. Our union organizes every day to put an end to the underground economy in construction and ensure it doesn't return to slave labor. The struggle for freedom for Black Americans continues.
Day 10/25 of #UIG25daysofgivingback! We helped out with landscaping at @FisherHouseFdtn for the second year. In addition to gardening, we provided a cookout. Thank you to Holly Wright for always being a wonderful host!
Yesterday at @C2CChicago we completed nine out of 25 days of service! The UIG staff along with Beth from Boilermakers Local One evaluated and determined what donated clothes were suitable for distribution. We’ll definitely be back to volunteer! #UIG25daysofservice
We were incredibly lucky the @IBEW's 40th International Convention was held close to our Chicago office. UIG had the honor and privilege to send a number of different representatives to take part in the convention. #IBEW2022 #IBEWconvention

Day eight out of 25 days of service✔️ Yesterday, our staff had the opportunity to participate in a repacking session at the @FoodDepository. We packed 6,000 pounds of potatoes totaling 151 meals per volunteer! #UIG25daysofservice #volunteer
Last Thursday, we participated in the 40th Annual IBEW International Convention Day of Service. We had the opportunity to pick up trash and debris right in our backyard, Dunbar Park, Chicago, IL. This event completed day six out of 25 days of service!
Day five of 25 days of service was spent during the NABTU Legislative Conference Call To Action! We had the privilege to pick up debris with our union brothers and sisters at the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH). #UIG25daysofservice #volunteer
We had a wonderful time connecting with Union members and supporting @UnionSportsmen mission at the 8th Annual Ohio State Conservation Dinner last weekend! Meeting awesome individuals like Eddie from UA local 189 remind us of why we’re committed to protecting labor.
Days 3 and 4 of UIGs 25 days of service were held at the @FisherHouseFdtn! We enjoyed spending the last two days cooking lunch and spending time with the guest. We played bingo and handed out fun St. Patrick's day accessories. Thank you FH for all you do!
