FYI... Autistic people tend to think in complexities. Someone can ask us to do something seemingly straightforward, but our brains will often make it into something extremely complex and nuanced. We ask questions to untangle our thoughts.

Research shows that neurodivergence is hereditary. A recent study found that the heritability of autism is over 80%... and another study on the heritability of ADHD found that it can go as high as 91%!! (I will link both articles below)

You know, I realised something. #ActualyAutistic people speak and gesticulate differently, but we also WRITE differently vs NTs. You can spot an autistic writer. What this means for us folks looking for jobs, sending in our CVs and covering letters, is quite terrifying.
The iceberg model (e.g.: the “iceberg” success memes) hasn’t been resonating with me lately for a few reasons, so I’ve been experimenting with different imagery. I’m thinking a lot of roots, extending beyond what is frame-able…all that is unseen but still a part of who we are.
