Guess what? We've been added to the @angular resource docs! 🎉🎉🎉 angular.io/resources
My team @HeroDevs has been working on a static site generator for @Angular. If you have ever asked "Why doesn't Angular have something like @gatsbyjs?" then you will love what we are delivering. It is almost to an alpha. Working out the kinks as I type this tweet.
Today in between my talks someone came up to me and told me he lives in Norway and used @UpgradingAJS to learn how to upgrade his project at work! So cool! 🇳🇴🤯

Upgrading AngularJS
Looking to upgrade AngularJS to Angular? Upgrading AngularJS is a step-by-step video tutorial all about upgrading from AngularJS to Angular using ngUpgrade.
This absolutely made my day yesterday. Love helping my students work through ngUpgrade through @UpgradingAJS! :🎉
Do you know that NgRx and ngUpgrade can work together to take your @angular upgrade to warp factor 10? Come to @ngVikingsConf on May 26-28 to learn how at the wonderful expert session by @MikeRyanDev and @samjulien 🔬🚀Tickets are here: ti.to/ngvikings/2019/
Absolutely. We're still transitioning from AngularJS to Angular. However, we use the UI router in AngularJS which makes things more complicated. The upgrade/downgrade process right now is amazing. The interoperability of components is smooth and largely performant too.
I often wonder how many people still care about improvements to the AngularJS ➡️ Angular upgrade story. At Google we have thousands of engineer-years of upgrades remaining, so we care to make it easier/faster. But I don't have such estimate for the external world. Do you care?
This is exactly what @jasonaden1's Angular router support for AngularJS routes and lazy loading of AngularJS library in version 8 addresses. As long as you currently use the AngularJS (and Angular) router in your app. See the prototype: github.com/jasonaden/angu…
We just can't rewrite the whole app due to app size :( one of our app has 250 unique views and close to half of million JS code excluding vendor packages
I get asked a lot about how to set up ngUpgrade with the Angular CLI, so I've created a starter project for reference. It starts w/AngularJS 1.7.x using modules & TS, with the file structure matching the CLI. Also includes an Express API. Hope it helps! github.com/upgradingangul…

I'm looking forward to this: "Convince Your Boss to Upgrade in 5 Minutes " by Sam Julien at @ngconf 2019: ng-conf.org/2019/sessions/…
My talk at @ngconf is actually about this very problem. One of the best arguments I've found is the reduction in dev time you get with Angular due to CLI, TS, and RxJS vs AngularJS. A lot of stuff that takes forever in AJS takes much less time in Angular.
Don't forget -- we're meeting tonight! 🎙️@wmleler on Angular & Beyond @Google 🏢 @vacasarentals new location (850 NW 13th) ⏰ 6pm-8pm 🍕from @UpgradingAJS We'll have lots of stickers to give away, too! meetup.com/ngpdxers/event…

I've got my own bit of good news with the Angular 6 release -- my ngUpgrade course @UpgradingAJS has been added to the @angular resource docs! 🎉🎉🎉 Thanks @stephenfluin & @robwormald for this! angular.io/resources
.@samjulien featured in #ngconf2018 keynote for his awesome work on Upgrading AngularJS!
Automated style enforcement helps a ton when pushing through an #ngUpgrade. You can start using Prettier 💐 and tslint-angular (aka Codelyzer) 🔍 to automagically clean up your legacy code style as you migrate (whether or not you're able to use the CLI). 🤖🧙♂️
Oh WOW, I am speechless that @robwormald and @stephenfluin mentioned @UpgradingAJS in today's keynote. THANK YOU! 🎉🎉🎉 #ngConf2018
New example #ngUpgrade starter kit called "ordersystem-evergreen" to supplement the course: AngularJS 1.6 + Angular 5 Composeable Webpack development and prod (AOT) builds HttpClient Yarn Express server More features coming soon. Share away! github.com/upgradingangul…
