I was honoured today to receive the 1st Etherton Ribbon @CarlAustinBehan, Stephen and I are together - we are pleased to receive it but cannot wear it until all reparations, financial compensation included, are implemented at a level which restores LGBT Veterans Pride and Justice
Today, the first Etherton Ribbons for veterans affected by the ban on LGBT personnel serving in the military between 1967 and 2000 were presented by @JohnHealey_MP and @AlistairCarns – another historic step to right past wrongs.
Emma, Carl & Stephen were pleased to receive the Etherton Ribbon today at the MoD. They look forward to wearing it with pride when the Government has delivered all 49 recommendations from the Etherton Report. There must now be fair recompense for LGBT Veterans. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
