VOGA is grateful for Governor Youngkin's ongoing effort to advance pragmatic, balanced energy policy in Virginia.

Now the good news: the SCC approved the new gas generation project in Chesterfield County — a critical step toward keeping the lights on in Virginia. The Commissioners were clear: it isn’t just load growth in Virginia driving the approval — it’s the strain on the grid from all…

Good description of the costs that make up a typical residential natural gas utility bill. Note that half of each dollar represents commodity cost (not marked up) and taxes. #NaturalGas Columbia Gas: Your dollar at work cardinalnews.org/2025/12/10/col… via @cardinalnewsva

It is difficult to quantify the degree to which the Shale Revolution has changed the energy world in a positive manner. It's a story of innovation, technology and a commitment to succeed. #NaturalGas

Today's energy world is vastly improved thanks to American innovation, U.S. shale, investments in natural gas infrastructure. See this NYTimes article from twenty years ago. In 2005, U.S. natural gas prices were setting record highs— $24/Mcf in today's dollars. Compare that to…

Wind & solar only work part time, gas baseload is the backbone that keeps intelligence factories running. The result? Intelligence factories require 2 power sources–renewables when they work, baseload when they don’t. It's inefficient, irresponsible & we can do better than this⬇️

Transco is a key natural gas pipeline supplier to many regions in Virginia, and is working on expansion projects to provide additional needed volumes. #NaturalGas

Happy Birthday, Transco! From the longest pipeline in the world to a ~10,000-mile network delivering 16% of U.S. natural gas today. Reliable. Innovative. Essential. wmb.link/3wp

Yep, natural gas needed for all of these. #NaturalGas

Most Virginians are experiencing the first snow and cold weather of the season - hard to beat natural gas for staying warm and cozy!

With winter approaching, #NaturalGas keeps families safe and warm. It’s the dependable energy source that keeps homes warm and America moving, even when conditions are at their worst.

If there is consensus that the electric grid is becoming increasingly stressed, it makes no sense to enact policy that of further increases electricity demand, in NY or anywhere else. thecentersquare.com/new_york/artic… via @thecentersquare

We believe natural gas must be an integral part of Virginia's energy strategy to maintain reliability and affordability for customers across the Commonwealth. The VASCC was correct to approve the CERC facility and the dispatchable power it will provide.

With approval to expand the CERC facility in Chesterfield to include a natural gas peaker plant, Virginia regulators are reinforcing what grid operators nationwide have made clear: reliability depends on firm, dispatchable generation. virginiabusiness.com/virginia-scc-a…

Not only are Virginia's gas utilities adding new pipe to serve expanding markets, thanks to the Commonwealth's SAVE law, they are also modernizing older infrastructure. This improves safety, reliability and reduces emissions - all benefits for utility customers! #NaturalGas

Natural gas utilities have added 20,000 miles of pipeline so far in 2025! The #natgas distribution system is essential this winter for keeping energy reliable, affordable and safe for American families and businesses.
