Akira (1988) used over 8,000 hand painted background cells which was an incredible number for an anime film in the 80s
I want to start 2026 by saying Michael Ironside is one of the fucking GOATs and we should all give him his due. He turns 76 next month! Also, I miss Splinter Cell.
