I'm 14, at the beach in my hometown, feeling like "whatever" it so boring, who cares really? And then this woman ran out onto the sand and exclaimed "It's the ocean!" I ask "what?" "I grew up in Colorado. I've never seen the ocean. My God! There's so much water" tears began to…
Psalm 54 was part of my Bible reading this morning. The beauty and simplicity of v.4 move me. “God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of my life.” Yes, he is. Yes, yes, he is. He & no other. The Lord will help you, loved one. The Lord will be the sustainer of your life.
This is why I will continue to #WearAMask #CovidIsNotOver #StaySafe 🙏🏽

Mostly I think tonight we should all just be sad.
Postman: “I am saying something far more serious than that we are being deprived of authentic information. I am saying we are losing our sense of what it means to be well informed. Ignorance is always correctable. But what shall we do if we take ignorance to be knowledge?”
You’ll be sure you won’t survive that news, crisis, loss, betrayal, rejection, disappointment and a few years down the road you stop in your tracks and the realization washes over you that you made it. That you’re making it. And you know why. Oh, you know. You know it was Jesus.
In today’s world of speedy information, wisdom looks like patience—a willingness to slow down and process things well rather than amassing information haphazardly and disseminating it with reckless speed and unearned confidence.
“Fire departments are terrible! Look at all this water damage! And for what? The fire barely scorched my kitchen. We should stop wasting money on firefighters and just let housefires burn out naturally…”
For @latimesopinion, Dr. Halleh Akbarnia wrote about a COVID-19 patient who changed her life: “Whether he knows it or not, he will be my silent warrior and guide as I take care of every patient, COVID or not." Here's the story. latimes.com/opinion/story/…
We acknowledge from our knees our desperate need of you and we ask for your mercy. For you, God, so loved this world, you gave your only begotten son & you who loved it, love it still. This is no God-forsaken world. Lord, we dare ask you, show us your glory. Hide us in the Rock.
My rule: only hang out with as many people as you're willing to give the coronavirus to. I gave it to 4 out of 6 people who had lunch with me the day before I started feeling sick.
The World Health Organization warns young people: “You are not invincible.” COVID-19 could "put you in hospital for weeks, or even kill you. Even if you don’t get sick, the choices you make about where you go could be the difference between life and death for someone else.”
Helps to remember the objective: We’re staying in so we can go back out. We’re staying apart so we can get back together. We’re loving one another WELL So we don’t make one another SICK. All our hard todays are for a lotta happier tomorrows.
RT if you think it'd be pretty cool for @Spotify and @AppleMusic to give artists a boost to how much they earn for streams to help offset what they're losing to COVID-19.
