Agreed, not enough staff, resources & specialist support services chronically underfunded along with school & SEND funding crisis, long waits for EHCPs, teachers leaving, no Sure Start is all making a big mess & something needs to be done as it’s not fair on chn, parents & staff
So much to deal with here, but mostly is a consequence of continuous lack of public investment over the last decade and a half. It’s very expensive to fix, but even more costly overall to not fix it.

Today, my newly-minted secondary school son took the wrong bus home from school and ended up in the middle of nowhere. He was pretty frightened and upset, but three people on the bus - two grandparents and a student - reassured and helped him get home. That’s my Britain.

It might sound naive, but you don't have to pick a side, you just need to stand on the side of humanity. If you're fully for or against one side, then you've already stepped away from that. The real issue isn't the people - it's the government's.
