My two cents - The barbell strategy, when applied to communities, it fractures them. The middle is the connective tissue, the soul, the culture. Without it, you risk ending up with only haves and have-nots. We have to look out for the middle as well.

Apply the barbell strategy in art & investing. Collect the best pictures by today’s masters, while also supporting emerging. Invest in the best companies (in the biggest categories) led by savage teams, while throwing a low % of the portfolio on memes/everything else.
