Huge thanks to our incredible local #WASPI group @WASPILPG for inviting to me to speak yesterday and to @CllrDraper for all your work & support. Women born in the 50s had their state pension age changed without fair notification. They deserve both recognition & compensation.

When was the last time we actually heard an accurate figure quoted by either the PM or her Cabinet? It's not "exaggeration", it's blatant misrepresentation of facts for political gain. This is not a game, its people's lives, it's completely unacceptable

Thank you for your continued support @timloughton. We agree, #WASPI is far too important an issue to be used as a political football by any political party, whether Labour, SNP or Conservative.
Have just voted in favour of the motion to give 1950's born women better pension change transition arrangements which was passed but I am afraid is not binding on the Government. Shame SNP more interested in using it to score political points rather than help to build a consensus
