Year 8s turned up the volume in the workshop this week! 🔊🛠️ Putting our workshop (and lovely new Hegner saws) to the test, they drilled, shaped, and sanded their way through the passive amp project. Hands-on, full focus, and a whole lot of sawdust! 💪🌪️
Our Year 8s have been turning up the volume, with no wires or power in sight 🔊📱 The boys have been very busy in the workshop today making Passive Amplifiers, a very clever MDF phone stand that boost sound using echoes alone. Skills used: Sawing, filing, sanding & drilling 🪚
Bold graphics, precise shaping, and serious attention to detail in the year 8’s Tech Deck project. Every board is a tiny showcase of skill, creativity, and personality. Big energy, small boards, and plenty of dust! 🛹🛹
🏁 Year 8 are on a mission for speed! Armed with sandpaper, wonky goggles & a LOT of competitive energy, they’re shaping their F1 cars to aerodynamic perfection 🏎️✨ Soon they’ll hit the 20m track to find out whose car is the speediest in Year 8 💨 Place your bets! #F1inSchools
Over the past year we’ve done a lot of sanding, painting & wiggling of the spirit level, but our workshops are looking better than ever. The bright walls bring a brand new energy to inspire our young builders, makers & engineers. We're all set for big ideas & bigger builds! 🔨
The Year 9s went full architect mode last week when they built towers, not just tall, but mighty strong too. Armed with determination (& a limited amount of tape), they stacked, balanced, and engineered their way to the top. The winning tower stood at a wobbly 77cm high.
Time for an upgrade! ⏰ Check out our two new workshop clocks. Whipped up in procreate and transferred to 2D Design. Laser cut them from 6mm acrylic, then given a glow up with upgraded motors and shiny new hands. Perfect for keeping time while we hammer, saw, and snack! 🔨🔧
