Our new study confirms the tragic consequences of delaying the UK's first lockdown. If it started 1 week earlier, there would have been 20k-35k fewer deaths. The required duration, for the same exit incidence, would also have halved from 69 to 35 days 1/6 journals.plos.org/plosone/articl…

I’m an ACCP on ITU. Caught covid Nov 2020, before vaccines were available. My covid developed into long covid and turned my life upside down. I’m now triple jabbed and thankful for the extra protection. Don’t end up with a miserable long covid life like mine. #GetVaccinated

Got a call today from #NHS Test and Trace. The post-foreign travel swab from 7 days ago was +ve for daughter. In the last 7 days, we mixed freely, she went to the @moseleyfolk and seen her friends. It took 7 days for the test result to come back. How did my £69 reduce #COVID?

I don't want to dampen the spirit but there's still nearly 15000 patients in hospital with #COVID19 . That's 15000 spaces for post-op patients or rehab or investigations or any of the myriad of treatments the #NHS has available We are still a long way from "Normal"
