It was once said that fascism is not to be debate; it is to be destroyed. And I'd add that it is not a foil to make appearances with for cameras, or something to score points off of. It's not a game to win or lose. If everything you say is true about it, it is to be destroyed.

Mayor Michelle Wu said she has no interest in confabbing with President Trump as New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani did last week while in Washington: “I’m not interested in a bromance with the federal regime,” Wu said. trib.al/CbT7eEb

Feeling deeply in a world designed for numbness is a form of intelligence. Systems reward dissociation, not awareness. Don’t shrink to fit dysfunctional incentives. Your sensitivity is the signal, not the noise... keep it.

It's our side's version of "Thoughts & prayers." Until we're willing to admit that, there will be no breakthrough; we will not be able to have nice things. The problem is that we have "leaders" paid ungodly amounts of money to purposefully obfuscate that reality.

Adolph Reed Jr. used to say liberals have traded actual politics for “bearing witness to suffering.” That was all I could think about while reading this Booker interview

It's actually really important if you're looking to lead a group, organization, movement, whatever, that you don't practice deception to obtain that leadership position. Because treachery and betrayal are unforgettable and unforgivable.

Only 5 of the seats on the Wayne Co. Board of Commissioners was contested last November. Districts 13, 14 & 15 were won by Trump, this time. Still, Dems held Dems held all of them (13 was uncontested), and because they were contested by minor parties, there was swings toward them

Good guess. lol Comm. Joseph Palamara in District 15 held this Trump seat by 10 points. It's still a 14-1 D map since Dems didn't run anyone against GOP Comm. Terry Marecki in District 9, though a Libertarian candidate got 20% of the vote there.

In the antomy of a fall, Harris got over 60,000 fewer votes in Wayne County than Biden did, which was a much larger contributor to the margin change than the increase in GOP vote share. Repeated to a lesser degree almost all across the state, this lead to a flip. 1/2
