A quick note: The Water Dept. has updated our Comcast connection (a good thing). The update is interfering with our phone system so you may not be able to leave a message (a bad thing). We expect this to be addressed by the end of this week.

Nothing more enjoyable to see than fall corn, even during a drought season! (Picture location on Merrimac River).
A quick note, the water department has turned on three of the Seawood Springs Wells today to meet demand. This has led to a few water quality complainants (generally tan or slightly yellow water). The water is safe and the color generally can be filtered out.
While the past rainfall has been beneficial, the State overall still has drought 2 level status. See attached for what you can do to save water during the low rainfall time.
The Water Dept is getting several calls regarding colored water. Mainly a light tan. This is due to the high demand of water which necessitates three wells This is picking up and sediment (mainly iron) in the mains. The water is safe for use and will pass as demand drops.
