This is America today. Nurses counterprotesting so people can still access the hospital. Protecting the health of the nation isn't a violation of your rights. Your freedom to do whatever the hell you want does not include harming others through exposure to disease. #GTFOH

Two nurses, who have witnessed first hand the toll Covid is taking in Colorado, stood up and peacefully counter protested. Here is how they were treated. I had join them.

A history of trauma can give you a high tolerance for emotional pain. Just because you can take it doesn't mean you have to.

#ACEs are never the whole story. #Resilience matters. The positive has more predictive power than the negative.

To avoid looking completely + utterly out of touch w/ the reality our prison system: Instead of asking, “Should the Boston Bomber have the right to vote?” Try, “Should a nonviolent person stopped w/ a dime bag LOSE the right to vote?” Bc that question reflects WAY more people.

This is often a huge struggle for people who have high ACEs. Discomfort can be interpeted as something's wrong and the FFF response can wreak havoc. How can we help people identify what they are experiencing and regulate easier?

Get insurance if at all possible. If it is overwhelming, call and let someone help. You are worthy of care.

No jump shots. No ferns. No memes. Not this time. I’m going to give it to you straight: If you need health insurance for 2019, the deadline to get covered is December 15. Go to HealthCare.gov today and pass this on — you just might save a life.
