Every kid is a reader. The problem doesn’t lie with those who “don’t like” to read. The problem is in how we introduce, discuss, and “teach” reading to them, and what books we share and make available to them. The work is in figuring out how to reach each wonderfully unique kid.
Kids who READ FOR PLEASURE do better in every way than kids who don't. So whatever else you do, never stop sharing books with kids. Never stop reading to them, and helping them to read. Never stop giving them ways to understand the world, and everyone in it. #literacy
