Over the moon to see the Accessibility profession in the government DDaT framework! gov.uk/guidance/acces… This is the culmination of a year's work that @cfunn and I lead on, with lots of help from @accessibleweb and accessibility leads at other departments. 🎉

In our latest blog, Accessibility Lead @WebDevBev takes you through the journey of their team's growth & development over the past two years 🚀 “People don’t just choose to use our services, they’re often using them because they have to.” ⚖️ Check out the full article here 👇
🌟 The future of GOV accessibility is bright! Our Accessibility Lead, @WebDevBev, shares their thoughts on why this matters: 🌐 Accessibility is a MUST - legal, vital, and inclusive! 🚀 We're growing, but the demand's huge! ⚖️ Making justice accessible for all is our goal! ⬇️

Thoroughly loved Priyanca D'Souza's talk on intersectionality 😍 feel like it was a talk I could listen to over and over again! @a11yScotland
Really enjoying @upwithebonnet 's talk - loads of great content, but favourite idea so far is avoiding question "jump scares" - being upfront about what and when potentially challenging topics come up in a round of questions, so people can mentally prepare @a11yScotland
Really enjoyed @abbott567 's talk at @a11yScotland - loved hearing Craig set out some definitions like neudivergant vs neurodiversity, and really skillful explanation of legislation - difficult to make that engaging!
Top moment in @WebDevBev ‘s excellent talk about being an accessibility lead - sometimes you have to call people’s babies ugly. @a11yScotland #a11yscotland
Delighted to see @WebDevBev leading off @a11yScotland conference with a talk about her journey learning to lead a team of #a11y specialists and the cause in a large enterprise. Fantastic story personally and organisationally. #CivilService #GovA11y
The Ministry of Justice Digital Accessibility team in full 🎉 Very excited to have such a great team, and looking forward to all the work we've got lined up for this year 💪 @RooRonks @ladymoonan @mglancy @AccessibilityC3 @Justice_Digital

For #GAAD, I've been reflecting on people who've helped me out with learning more about accessibility over the years, as mentors, and friends. Thank you to @welikethis, @jbuller, @cfunn, @abbott567, @00selfthinker and @NickColley - I've learnt loads from all of you 💜

Very much looking forward to speaking at this - both with my team, on how we set up and ran an accessibility team at Ministry of Justice, and as a member on the closing panel! Lots of other interesting talks on the agenda, too. And, it's free!

Today is my first full day of the annual @3RingsCIC Dev and Docs Camp, where we all get together and work on the 3R volunteer management system. Earlier today, we went on a social #geocaching walk, with accompanying lecture on from @scatmandan. 3 geocaches found! #3RDCamp2022

We're now back from the walk, and getting stuck into some code! Over the next 5 days, we'll be working on the Jordan release of 3R, which will be released in May 21st. Already done an accessibility review of one of the new features! @3RingsCIC #3RDCamp2022
