Day 9 of COVID and this virus is still kicking my ass. Felt better for a couple of days but spiked a fever again and am as sick as I was when this started. Chills, body aches, fatigue, sore throat, congestion, cough. Even this latest variant is no joke. Wear a mask, y’all!

It feels like a good time for a reminder that trans kids have always existed. This is what gender euphoria looked like on me at nine years old.

My incredibly talented and relentlessly hardworking spouse Sasha (who hates Twitter) is releasing their first vinyl EP next month and so I’m proud I’m crying about it. Preorder here and get yourself some weird woozy textural techno: mildfantasy.bandcamp.com/album/tephra-ep

🚨I wrote about how individualism is still sabotaging the pandemic response, and how it has been accentuated by vaccinations & the CDC’s recent guidance. Our collective problem still exists & has been even more heavily shifted onto the most vulnerable. 1/ theatlantic.com/health/archive…

If you keep asking yourself why you don't feel better, read this. If you can't feel at all, read this. If you aren't sure what "trauma" really means, read this. As he tends to do, @edyong209 writes what many of us are feeling but can't put in to words. Just beautiful.

I'm glad this piece is resonating. I've heard from so many people who are feeling lost, weren't expecting it, & couldn't explain why. It says a lot about how we deal with trauma that so many people could share the same experience and yet feel so alone. theatlantic.com/health/archive…
