I LOVE COIL SO MUCH RAAAHHHH Nothing else I’ve heard can capture such a specific strange psychedelic but oddly comforting atmosphere
Red Queen by Coil is such a masterpiece of a song So seductive and addictive and ominous and strange and the lyrics are beautiful and horrifying they paint such a visceral picture in my head "What are you going to do if they don't believe you?" haunting...
this is really one of the most profound works of art that I've ever engaged with it speaks to me on such an insanely deep level and I can't explain any of it it taps into feelings that have never been tapped into before
this fucking album man its evil it feels like someone cursed them so that they have to keep playing their instruments no matter what happens like the red shoes but then while that's going on they are also being burned alive
i lowkey have an orgasm every single time a solo ends and the ensemble comes back in on Ascension its always so fucking powerful
