Danny Thompson arrived on the planet in 1947 and left to join Sun Ra yesterday. He joined Sun Ra’s Arkestra in 1967 playing flute, alto sax, baritone sax, & bassoon & was still there last year. We’ll miss & remember Danny. Marshall is still with us keeping the Arkestra alive .

Started following Pharoah Coltrane Miles Ra etc in the early seventies - got to hear these McCoy Tyner records as they were released which was a gift(also saw him a number of times). Their importance in my musical journey was major . So great & beautiful - thank you Mr. Tyner .

Orson Bean-actor, comic , philosopher,game show legend,theater owner, played Scrooge almost every Xmas, blacklisted & was in “Anatomy of a Murder” & “The Twilight Zone”- tragic finale at 91. Great man & lived down the block - waved to him a lot ; scared to call him Mr. Bean.

Words fail me for this loss- Stacey Foster -major major presence technically and personally at anything SNL or BV for over 4 decades - a real guru w/ perfect hair & suit. Heroically kept putting it together to show up whenever he had the strength during his illness. Very missed .
