How does one write while completely horizontal in bed? Asking for a friend.
unfortunately my nervous system can’t tell the difference between being held at gun point and being asked what my book is about by those i know in real life
god forbid a woman just wants to lay in bed all day, read books & do nothing.
im aware that men dont read vs publishers dont make books for men is a bit of a chicken or the egg problem but i do think its significant to note that women have always been open to reading “boy books” but the inverse is not true
Happened to be in Target again and decided to check in on the “Fantasy” section. Unlike last year, any male-centric fantasy is nowhere in sight. It’s all Chick Lit and Booktok slop. Modern publishing hates male readers
What is it about spring that just makes me want to write? Is it the renewal of nature? Is it because I can finally see the sun? Is it the smell of the air? Do you notice you feel encouraged to write during a certain season?
The problem with relying purely on books like the Hunger Games to critique those in power is that men like Elon Musk read the hunger games and think they are Katniss Everdeen
suzanne collins writing in her acknowledgment that “the snow may fall, but the sun also rises.” she knew what she was doing with that one
