Ever see something interesting in real life and your first instinct is to rewind it to “watch” it again?


DID YOU KNOW the last part of the brain to finish maturing is the frontal lobe which is responsible for judgment and inhibition. This does not happen until the late 20s. Apparently some people are forever 20.


FEELING LIKE A DRAMA QUEEN? KNOW ONE PERSONALLY? Science actually says people can’t help being drawn to drama. Affect = our typical overall experience of emotion. Need for affect = our measurable, inborn need to both approach and avoid situations that stir up emotions.


MY SON: Mom I need a planner for school. ME: I’m on it! ME IN MY HEAD: Yayeeee! Planner Shopping! (OK that wasn’t in my head. I said that too :D)

I got into psychology to better understand people. I stayed in psychology to help other people understand people. Why did you first get into your field? Why are you in your field now?
