We the workers would prefer if the government insisted on a threshold of decency for hospitality workers before giving more social welfare to the hospitality bosses.

At our meeting with Ministers Michael McGrath and Paschal Donohoe yesterday evening we emphasised the vital importance of retaining the 9% VAT rate to support tourism livelihoods and further recovery. @IHFcomms @mmcgrathtd @Paschald irishtimes.com/ireland/2023/0…

To the #EastWall protestors, good morning. I just thought now would be a good time as any to bring this gem back… Please know #AsylumSeekers are not the reason we have a housing crisis in #Ireland, #politicians and landlords are the reason.

Imagine seeing a public safety campaign aimed at ensuring workers get home safe at night and thinking THIS IS A THREAT TO OUR INDUSTRY. The self-proclaimed representatives of Scottish hospitality employers ladies and gentlemen. 😂

Why are you targeting hospitality @MaggieChapman? Would your time not be better spent calling on @scotgov to put on better public transport and having more police on the streets? We are more than happy to meet and work with you in promting hospitality in a positive manner.
