Yes! A sustainable revenue model is key. Philanthropy and billionaires are not long-term answers.

Great to see interest and new funding come to local news sources like @baltimoresun, they see the opportunities. But billionaires, hedge funds, and grants only buy time. The bedrock need is for biz models where reader revenue keeps the independent local news going.

Agree! They'll never agree to a relegation format, even though it could be great.

The salary cap in American sports has really evened things up between big and small market teams. So, in theory, any team can win a championship. That being said, there is no reward for more modest goals (avoiding relegation, Europa League, etc)
