When can splitting infinitives become acceptable? It's a bad habit I can't break so I need everyone to join me instead. #grammar

Observation: I use the word "and" way more than I need to.

First story I remember clearly in grade school was a girl who found secrets (ghost?) dinosaurs that only existed at night. My teacher liked it so much she had me read it in front of the class... 😲

Let's take a little trip down memory lane. What was the first novel or story you ever wrote? Tell me the good, the bad, and especially the embarrassing. Mine? A novel about pirates with superpowers, penned when I was 15. (It was wonderfully bad.)

#NaNoWriMo2019 day 26: I just hit 50k words!!! Now... I just have to write the last chapter and a half...

#NaNoWriMo2019 day 23: Today was a crying at the keyboard kind of day. I'm so sorry to my characters whose hearts I have demolished.

#NaNoWriMo19 day 18: had to make the painful decision to cut one of my fave scenes from the first draft from draft 2. But hey! I'm closing in on the third act!

#NaNoWriMo2019 day 15: Oh NO! I just got an idea for a new story and it's taking up all the brain space I need for my CURRENT story.

#NaNoWriMo2019 day 11: writing goal was hard today. But I did it. Even though I didn't have to because I'm slightly ahead of my word goal. 🎉

I made myself really sad with my story today. Everything hurts. Why? It's not real brain!

Day 7 of #nanowrimo19 and the struggle is setting in. But I have written the phrase "warm bread in a cold universe" that is kind of my sole motivation to keep going right now.

#NaNoWriMo2019 Day 1: word goal was hit and went 200 words over. I'm in a spot where I want to keep going, but I don't want to hurt my hands. Also finishing the scene is good motivation to start again tomorrow.

Oh crap. I'm doing #nanowrimo19 and I've just realized the gravity of committing to 50,000 words in a month. That's half the time it took me to write the first 50,000 of my draft 😱

When you have to figure out what way you're going to have your character say "I love you" without actually letting them use those words. #writing

Been working on draft 2 of a WIP for a couple months now. But I want to do @NaNoWriMo this year. It'll really ramp up my speed. It'd feel like cheating though if I did it with an already started draft. But my story is longer than 50,000 words. Anyone have thoughts? #NaNoWriMo2019

When you like a side character more than your main characters 😮

Haven't been writing as much because I have honest to goodness hurt my hands from so much writing. #WritingLife

Some people love to write in coffee shops or restaurants, but I couldn't do it. I make the faces I imagine my characters are making as I write. Everyone would think I was crazy or writing the world's most passionate business email.

Note I left for myself in regard to a couple of characters in a scene: "make them tipsy and sleepy" past me was really onto something there. 💡

My writing process is 50% unbridled enthusiasm and 50% complete despair.

I thought I was writing but when I came out of my concentration I was taking a quiz to find out how much like Rosa Diaz I am... #writing (32% for the curious.)
