I was a teacher in the classroom for 17 years. Do you all know how much we have to do? I don’t think people really know the constant doing being an educator involves. I said I love what I do and now I do it in my own business. But, was I passionate all day every day? Idk.
Education is not teacher centered or even student centered, but it is relationship centered. Teachers thrive w/ positive admin relationships & students thrive w/ positive teacher relationships. Relationships drive education.

Am hiding again
As Teacher Appreciation week nears, understand we have a teacher shortage because we have an attrition crisis. Teachers are leaving in droves because they don’t feel supported, valued, & they are simply burnt out. We need to take care of our teachers more than one week a year.
Finland has no standardized testing, no formal teacher evals, and 15 mins of recess every hour. Oh, and Finland has been voted the Happiest Country in World for 5 years in a row. I know that would make me happy too!
Some students just need a chance to shine. Some students need a second, third, or fourth chance to shine!
