I dipped for 3 weeks to Mongolia to ride horses, drink airag, eat meat and potatoes, see przewalskis horses, and sleep in a ger. Another year I went to southeast Asia for a month to scuba, hike, see temples, and try food. A flag is depends on if the trip has a purpose.

Smart partner is also important in case of emergency. You never think you will die, but you can in a freak accident. My grandfather left my grandma a widow w/ 3 kids by 35. She was able to ensure my dad and uncles became successful + stable via good choices.

My hottest take is if you can't push mow at least 2 acres in the heat you aren't in shape. Sorry, you're just not. Riding mowers are societal decadence and decay, get out there and feel the work (this counts as gym)
Ran out of spotify hours while listening to a book on Japan's unit 731 so I had to switch to using audible credits on another book for the next few days while I wait for spotify to reset. I try to use audible for longer booksand spotify for shorter ones to get my $ worth.
Beyond proud of my pup's development so far at 5 months old. Her tracking is taking shape nicely and her enthusiasm for bitework is amazing to watch.
Really lucky that the schutzhund club I joined has such great mentors/members. Awesome advice on gear, training tips for when we practice at home, and just great attitudes. Everyone has made us feel so welcome as beginners and it shows in the progress my girl is making.

Got a 4th doe yesterday morning and her spike bf hung around just out of range for a while. This year I've perfected my field dressing skills and started learning to butcher with actual technique. My goal for 2024 is to get great at butchering and doing hides.
