the fact that people have the gall to say “yeah the genocide in Palestine is bad, but what about my rights?” is stomach churning, as if the only possible world is one in which they think it’s morally acceptable to approve of genocide to save themselves for even one day.
Another good day to remind people that just because an academic is renowned for their work in social justice, antiracism, decolonisation, or equality, it does not mean they are invested in this work at a personal level. Some are very good at researching these topics. That is all.
Not saying the supreme court decision is inconsequential (its not), but all these presidents are war criminals. Let's not act like the "rule of law" was upheld up to this point. If anything, it's the so-called law that upholds the crimes.
