It's been nearly 20 years now since they scrapped TOTP, and look how even the biggest music stars don't have the cultural penetration amongst normal people that they used to.
Was just speaking to someone about how catastrophic that the BBC scrapped their flagship Film programme. I do think a lot of people used that show to keep up with what was out, and I think there's still room for it. Have it as a BBC Four show, cross post the reviews to YouTube.
Leaving aside all the obvious, this song is very interesting to relisten to from a mixing standpoint. The drum sounds like it's being played gently, but it's the loudest thing in the mix. They'd never let vocals stay that uncompressed in a modern pop song.
Algorithmic social media sites just do not understand the concept of diminishing returns and think that just because a trick worked on you once, you'll want to see hundreds of basically the same thing in perpetuity.
