Homage means paying respect or showing honour. So how is it homage if nothing actually represents the culture it’s supposedly paying respect to? The blackface, music, outfits, props and even dances (literally nothing about it) don’t reflect the Zulu culture in anyway?

@tiredfeminist_ I don’t think that the spirit of the parade is to mock the Zulu nation, but rather a homage or a tribute. Instead of the outrage about “Misappropriation of culture” rather take up respectful dialogue based on mutual education and understanding of cultures.

I hate that we live in a world where a 7 year old is raped at their school and the mother has to resort to social media for the SAPS and the education department to do their job.

The stunning collapse of Durban will forever remain a stain in the heart of the ANC's governance. The city centre, South Beach, North Beach and even Durban Station areas are all degrading, filthy and rotting in front of our eyes. It's incredibly sad to witness.

My brother misplaced his ID, went to the voting station with his passport. He was told a passport is not sufficient. Went to Home Affairs to get a temp ID. Got back and went to vote. This is all under an hour. So it means this country is capable of actually functioning

I have no loyalty to any political party I am loyal to the needs of the majority of South Africans If a party commits to unapologetically serve the majority, they have me As soon as that changes, so does my vote My bias will remain with the most marginalised, first & always
