Our “promised land” is simply a place (an established system) where participants/citizens utilize authentically loving behaviors to realize their hopes and dreams. And importantly those citizens refuse to participate or reward those who rely on the use of unloving behaviors.
Jesus knew that whatever behaviors generationally served to be love and good for people, those people will cling to those behaviors even though those behaviors may authentically be hate and evil.
