To start the new year, Object|Idea and Content•Design will visit the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge to begin work on the new exhibit program for the Long Island National Wildlife Refuge Complex; 10 locations on the Island reserved for osprey, green heron, and pine barrens.
The Mish Michaels Hall for Scientific Discovery will be opening in July, and includes the Henry LaPrade image of the Worcester tornado. Today is the 90th anniversary of this tragic 1953 event, prompting the reorganization of the Storm Prediction Center.
Our exhibit at Highfield Hall & Gardens will include the people who cooked, cleaned, gardened, hauled, chopped wood, fed, kept warm and maintained the “House of Dreams” for the Beebe family in Falmouth. Most of these people were from Ireland.

I heard an exhibit opened in Philadelphia last week! The Museum of the American Revolution held its largest exhibit opening ever with Black Founders: The Forten Family of Philadelphia last Thursday.
Content•Design started the Period Room and History Gallery project with the Highfield Hall & Gardens team in Falmouth, MA. James Madison Beebe envisioned a “House of Dreams,” where he and his family would escape from Boston and recapture the Pittsfield pastoral of his youth.

At a gathering honoring the late Mish Michaels, the meteorologist who tirelessly supported the Blue Hill Observatory education programs. Jill Domenici and I were moved by the tributes given by Tim Kelley and Harvey Leonard. Great music and atmosphere at the Trillium Brewery.

Recently I met up with Jessica Marks Rubenstein at the opening of her exhibit "Now What" at the BSA Space in Boston. We worked together at a nearby studio in Boston in aughts. Stop by the dynamic BSA space and immerse yourself in this important exhibit on advocacy and activism.

The exhibit "Manchester, Then & Now" is open to the public. It does not shy away from difficult subjects. Real estate redlining is discussed, and a 1965 photo showing Manchester citizens leaving for the Selma protests are part of the complex story of Manchester, CT.
